Among the great scholars who have dedicated their lives to the elevation of Islam, one prominent figure of this century is Justice Pir Syed Muhammad Karam Shah Al-Azhari, known to the world as “Huzoor Zia-ul-Ummat.” His esteemed services are well-known to all. Although I did not have the honor of meeting him personally, his enduring legacy speaks volumes about his sincerity and character. Truly, he was a genuine friend of the Almighty.
In the context of the Indian subcontinent, the mention of a saint often brings to mind miraculous feats. Huzoor Zia-ul-Ummat undoubtedly performed many miracles, but in my view, his greatest miracle is his masterpiece filled with the love of the Prophet, known as “Zia-un-Nabi.” Anyone who wishes to experience the sweetness of love for the Prophet in this materialistic age should read this seven-volume work, and they will surely feel the profound love for the Prophet.
Another significant miracle is the educational institution he founded, Darul Uloom Muhammadiya Ghausia in Bhera Sharif. Each year, hundreds of sons of Islam graduate from here, adorned with the turban of excellence, and go on to serve the Islamic world. Upon entering this institution, the unique spiritual fragrance that emanates instantly reminds one of Huzoor Zia-ul-Ummat’s era. This institution stands as a monumental testament to the grandeur of Islam, and its development continues to amaze since its inception.
This year, nearly 400 eagle-like scholars have graduated from Darul Uloom Muhammadiya Ghausia Bhera Sharif, along with over 400 daughters of Islam, who are now equipped to serve the faith. The blessings of Huzoor Zia-ul-Ummat through his successors continue to spread joy and enlightenment throughout the country. May these caravans of knowledge and action continue their journey forever.
Recently, the establishment of a university in Bhera Sharif is a testament to the innovation and uniqueness of this educational institution. As a former student of Darul Uloom Muhammadiya Ghausia, I frequently visit, but this time the visit was memorable because I responded to the invitation of my alma mater. The purpose was to honor me with the “Zia-ul-Ummat Award” for completing my Ph.D. Receiving this award during the prestigious convocation ceremony was an overwhelming joy, surpassing all other honors. It not only encourages students but also inspires others to strive for excellence, showcasing the love for knowledge that Huzoor Zia-ul-Ummat and his successors have instilled.
May Allah keep my alma mater flourishing forever. May this garden remain ever-blooming, never facing autumn.
